My computer fried; no backup of webpage. Got my PC going but still no
website backups. I've imported the site (strange no password requested)
but can't publish to web from these pages. hmmm.

So, I just open IE 6.0, pull up my website which is working fine, the
select: file.............edit with Frontpage............

This pulls my page up, without the borders and navigation buttons. I edit
a few lines of text. I click the save icon. The publish icon is grayed
out and not available......WHY??? I try to click save to web, but I get
an error.

At no time am I asked for a username or password which I think is weird.

Anyone care to steer me in the right direction?

Thanks

Does your web site have FPextensions installed and working? If so, try
opening it directly in FrontPage -
File->Open Web / Site and type in the URL for your website.
If you do not get a login request, or the login fails, you may need to
reinstall the extensions.
Once open, publish the site back to your PC.

When I try to open the website this way, I get this error message: Server
error, Cannot open we80.cnf ; no such file or folder

Does this mean the extensions on the server are not working??

thanks

Perry
