Everything had been working fine. All my twain programs
were working fine. Saturday, half way through a twain
operated scanner session the computer reset. Since then
everytime I try to use a twain operated scanner or
camera, the computer just resets and finds from one to
several disk errors. Always, something like first ?? bad.
(brand new Maxtor drive) All equipment works fine when
operated under their respective bundled software. Nothing
will work under twain. No other problems of any kind
under 12-16-hour a day use.

Have you tried reinstalling the TWAIN drivers that came with your scanner?
