all text italic in browser

for unknown reason, plain text on some websites (like www.nu.nl) is italic
on my PC, in both IE and Firefox. Other sites (like www.ad.nl) show the text
normal / not italic.
Changes in my browser preferences does not seem to work, I think it is
something in Windows XP. Is there any trick to fix this?
