Yes, the computer is clean. It is scanned every day for viruses and spyware.
Here's what happened: I took a non-working (ie. clicking) hdd and hooked it
up to my computer via usb in an attempt to get data off of it. I was able to
see the drive in drive manager but could not initialize it. After trying
that then disconnecting the hdd, I could not boot into Windows normally so I
booted into Safe Mode then rebooted into Windows. Although Windows came up
it was running in diagnostic mode. I tried to turn services back on through
msconfig. I can't try through the services plugin because it hangs even
before the services list is populated.
Any other ideas?
