ALL READ: Argh! CAT 3.8 caused me to return my 9800pro!

Ive got a powercolor 9800 pro (since June), it is already bloody overclocked
out of the box at 391/351 from the factory. I installed the 3.8 cats, as we
all do when new drivers come out, and carried on as normal.

Started getting major white dots ("artifacts" I guess!!) in Halo for
example, and especially in the likes of Aquamark and 3dmark 03.. the nature
scene for example was very bad.. basically all games after a minute or two
of being played..

I thought it was my card failing due to the already "overclockedness" of the
card and took it back to the store! I think its on its way to Taiwan or
something now!

Any updates on these stupid drivers or advice??

Thx, Si.

You could have downloaded the Omega drivers and underclocked the card, at
least to where it should have been. I have a 9800 non pro flashed to a pro,
and running at stock pro speeds and have had no problems with the Cat 3.8
drivers. No artifacts whatsoever.
