Sounds like the uninstall did not work well. Look in Computer
Management/services to see if that firewall left any services behind that are
still running which you could disable. The suspect services would be named
somehow to relate to that product. Look in Event Viewer for any error messages
that may provide a clue and run netdiag looking for any failed tests. You might
try to reinstall tcp/ip as described in the link below. If all that fails, try
posting in the firewalls newsgroup - not the Microsoft one, but the general
firewalls newsgroup. -- Steve
