It's not a security problem or any simple setting problem - I've checked all
the basic tips.
Any idea

A few dumb questions for you:
- were they sent in Plain Text?
- are in the Junk E-mail folder?

Hi Vince
Thanks for the questions.

I'm talking about ALL of my old messages in the inbox (and its sub-folders).
They were all fine (HTML, most of them) till yesterday, when this change
happened out of the blue.

Note that messages I created (in the sent items folder) are OK.
another important note - when I go to the web-mail, the same messages are OK
- which means this is really something with the Outlook application

Thanks
Maoz

Are these messages on an IMAP server? Also, which version of Outlook are you
using? Have you made any system changes recently (IE updates, etc)?

I'm on Office 2007, SP1 MSO

the only thing I changed is to enable JAVA on the IE.
I'll turn it off and report back
