All of my fonts in Windows + Office have been changed

I recently experienced after running my virus scan that my fonts for windows
xp and office products were changed to x-o's and other non-readable
charactors. I have run all virus scans, windows updates etc. but have not
detected any problems.

I use windows XP, Office XP and use McAfee virus scan.

This problem has left me unable to use my computer since I can't read
anything.

Any suggestions?
