Yesterday, I couldn't run my outside email, when I double
clicked on it, I got a dos window ??
Since then, almost every executable has changed and brings
up a dos window, which of course, dies in a few seconds.
I also can't access regedit to look at the registry, it
says I'm not allowed. I log on as administrator and
everything worked before yesterday.

When I try to associate exe files in windows explorer, I
don't get "open with".

Please help, this is my work computer, and I have a call
in to Tech support, but that usually takes a week or more.

Have you tried "assoc" command to alter association for .exe?

Also, you need to alter policies, it has disabled you access to change
associations and run Regedit.
