I have different groups that I want my contacts to go into. But, when I add
a contact, the contact goes into all of the groups. Does anyone know how I
can stop this?

What version of Outlook are you using? Are you saying when you add a contact
to a distribution list (is this what you mean by group?) it gets added to
all the distribution lists?

I am using Outlook 2000. The groups I am talking about are the little icons
on the far left side of the screen when I enter into "Contant." When I used
to add a contact, I could open up a particular icon- say like
Suppliers/Vendors or Customer, etc., I used to be able to put it only in that
"group." Now, however, when I a contanct, the contact automatically gets
posted into all of the individual groups I have set up. It is quite
frustrating to say the least. Thank you for any help that you can offer.
