Can anyone help please. I store all my music on the computer but now when I
want to play it all the songs jump and sound like a scratched cd.

Wish it were that simple!

I could think of several causes, but in at least one case (one program) I
have been unable to cure something similar. Just can't get my finger behind
it.

Diagnose and cure would best be performed hands-on. My advice would be to
ask somebody familiar with making (not merely playing) music using the
computer to have a look.

Are you using WMP11 and Windows XP? If so, see "slow playback of cd
and dvd" below. s
