Open Windows Explorer.
Tools/Folder options
Click on the 'View' tab
In the 'Advanced settings' box:
Check 'Show hidden files and folders
Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' and
uncheck 'Hide protected operating system files'
Now click the 'Apply' and 'OK' buttons
Close Explorer and then open a new Explorer windows.
