This is the message I have in the lower right corner of MS Fax Console
(v.5.1 SP 2)
I remember when I first installed XP years ago that there was issue with the
fax console. Seems like maybe
it didn't automatically install and after installing it I had to download
and add a file??? Not sure, but I am sure it's
been working fine since I installed XP and fix for the fax console. Just in
the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that
the "Sent" folder won't display the faxes I've sent and the above message is
at the bottom of the screen (after several seconds
of trying to "refresh"). Some of the Inbox faxes are listed, not all of
them, but they can't open. I don't use the fax that often so I really
can't tell how long it's been doing this. I was able to send a fax today (I
think). I was given confirmation that it sent. The fax transmission sounds
were there and it sounded as if it connected. My Google search on the
subject turns up old hits about the fax console and XP compatibility. I'm
past that
UNLESS it was one of those nasty Windows crucial updates that did this. I
don't do updates until I'm forced to and that was about a month ago.
Hope someone can help and that I don't have to lose all the faxes I've sent
and received.
Monica
