I was removing some programs from my computer, none of which were closely
related to any files in the My Documents Folder. I went to go open a file,
and it wasn't there anymore, and the complete My Documents was empty. There
was no sign of things being in the Recyling Bin, and nothing showed up when I
tried searching through the control panel. All of my pictures, word
documents, and saved items are missing. Please tell me how I can fix this
problem and save my documents & photos! Much appreciated.

Try a System restore to a day when they were still there

Paste the following line into Start | Run and click OK...

%userprofile%\My Documents

Do you see anything now?
