Dear Friends, I have looked everywhere for this simple feat. I just want to send messages between the two computers on my network.
Can someone explain to me how that is done? xp and 98.

You need software to do this and there are many products available. Suggest you try Googeling "LAN messaging" and you will find many links.

's Computer Specifications

NET SEND command, it's built into Windows.

From any command line, type "net send /?" for details on usage.
