I created a simple page and want to align a picture at the absolute top, no
border at all. I set vspace on the img to to 0, but there is still an
annoying white border around the top and bottom. Anyone have a tip on how to
stop get rid of the border or a way around it?

You need to set you page margins to zero as well either under page properties or via CSS.
