I have a main account set up in Outlook (e.g. (E-Mail Removed)). I am
permitted to have aliases under that account. I set up an alias with my
provider (e.g. (E-Mail Removed)). I want to be able to send and receive
email on both "accounts". So I set up both in the accounts window. Now I
get everything for both "accounts" twice. If I only set up the alias
((E-Mail Removed)), I receive everything for both accounts once. If I
set up the main account (e.g. (E-Mail Removed)) I receive everything for
both accounts once. But I want to be able to SEND from my alias
((E-Mail Removed)) which I can't seem to do if I only set up the main
account name ((E-Mail Removed)). Can anyone help?

Disable receiving in the 2nd (alias) account.

In OL2002:
- Tools -> Send/Receive Settings -> Define Send/Receive Groups.
- Pick the group with your 2nd account. Click Edit.
- Disable that account to Receive. Leave Send enabled.

Menu navigation may differ in OL2007.
