I started using Spyware last week and I noticed that alerts are scrolling
off my screen up and down really fast - no way to stop them and look at
them. How does this get fixed?

place your mouse pointer over the message... it stays until you hover out...

Did anyone mention that this happens with vertical taskbars, but not with
horizontal?

That's one workaround.
