I have a visual studio 2005 project
How do I use the Ajax control tool kit without having to creat a brand new
project ?

add a reference to the dlls, or copy to the website bin folder.

Read the doc. It is fairly simple. There are config changes, as well as
references to the Ajax.NET dlls.
