Has anyone else had a problem with the location of the PCI-E power
connector? On this card, it comes straight out the back, right into the area
where the secondary case fan goes in my Antec Sonata II case. If I could
find a right-angle connector adapter, it would probably work - but no luck
yet....

I recently bought the same card. nice piece of kit, but what a
nightmare fitting it into the case. This thing is absolutely *huge*. I
only just managed to squeeze it into my PC with literally a couple of
millimeters to spare. I had to unplug both SATA cables and put them in
sockets 3 and 4, rather than 1 and 2 to accommodate the card
lengthwise. Without doing that it would have been impossible to fit.

I had to unplug some other cables and then plug them in again after
the card was seated. It was a very fiddly job indeed. I did think for
while that it wasn't going to fit. Thankfully it did fit, 3 or 4
millimeters short of butting up against my SATA drives.

I don't think I would go for this kind of card again unless ATI can do
something about making it smaller. Messing around with cables like
that is not my idea of a quick and simple upgrade.

Is this your case?

Is the fan mounted right behind the sideways-oriented 3.5" drive rack? Can
the fan be moved lower? If not, try running with the fan removed. Perhaps a
thinner fan would work, too.
