Does anyone run 2 monitors with this or a close combo that works?

Want to run 2 20" digital flats

Right now I have AIW 9600 XT and have them running in extended desktop
with ATI Hydravision cable in VGA only.

Do any of the other AIW's with DVI-I let you split the digital signal?

Do any have 2 DVI outputs? plus the composite for TV of course.

Nope, not gonna happen. There just isn't enough space on the backplate to
fit two dual-link DVI ports and two coax cable connectors. The best you can
do is to add another PCI video card with a DVI port...

Then how about can you split digital as you can analog signal VIA
HYDRAVISION?

Or, do I have to find another card with 2 digital outs and add a PCI
TV WONDER or maybe even HDTV WONDER?

Probably stupid questions. I am pretty well versed usually and have
built 20-25 boxes but this TV thing (HDTV) has me befuddled along with
the digital split which I'd like to do.

Along that line, is anyone having luck with the HDTV Wonder card?

Not via Hydravision. This is done in the splitter hardware. Splitters are
available here:

Prices start at $300, though, so it's probably not worthwhile. Keep in mind
the two monitors will have to be running at exactly the same resolution and
refresh rate.

Yes, that is the most elegant and cost-effective way. And you don't have to
stick with an ATi tuner card. Hauppauge and LeadTek (WinfastTV series) both
make tuner cards with robust drivers.

Alternatively you can keep your existing setup and add a second PCI graphics
card with a DVI port.

Wow, I did figure that cables cost alot but that pretty high. The
other point you make is pretty valid and I have a pretty good idea of
what I am going to do now with your advice. Thanks!

Go with a Dvico Fusion board, not an HDTV Wonder. Price is about the same
and the Fusion has a better tuner and third party support. Some of the
older Fusion boards will even work in analog mode from ATI MMC--haven't
tried the newest one that way.

The setup works intermittently. It generally works after a fresh reboot.
The TV will init and display. However, once the system goes into screen
saver mode, the TV will no longer display. Also sometimes on reboot, the
secondary monitor comes up in 640x480.
