I have a AIW 128 ( orginal16 meg woo hoo power) But the great thing about
this card is it supresses copy gaurd ( that is the flashing up and down that
comes from recording professional tape ) or at least I think that is the
name.
I try to record on the AIW 8500dv and wow does it screw that right up.
Anyhow I was wondering if any one tried recording a bought tape and if they
had any issues. I want to get a better gaming card on my power system but
this the system I record and edit on ofcorse . So I move the 8500dv to the
shuttle box and that is my DVR/mp3 player. needless to say the 128 would be
fine for that ( infact without a fan it would be better for that and
quieter) let me know

I think you're referring to Macrovision, John, and yes, more recent cards
than your AIW 128 are all likely to implement it - sometimes far too
enthusiastically. However, AFAIK there are various fixes around; do a
search on this ng for Macrovision or check out the Rage3D forum.
