I got a question for ya'll: I use and enjoy windows messenger, and
one of the main reasons I do so is that it integrates with outlook
express' address book, and allows me to see who's online w/o having
another window open (I can just look at my oe address book).

Recently, however, I ran aim for a short while. After shutting it
down, and turning it's autorun options off, as well as deselecting to
make it the default messenger program, I seem to have lost win
messenger/oe integration--my oe address book ignores windows
messenger. I've looked and searched for answers to this one and
seemed to be coming up empty handed. Any suggestions? Thanks, ya'll!

Greetings Jake,

As long as you've turned off the 'Make AIM my default instant messaging program' option
within AOL Instant Messenger, all you need to do is reinstall Windows Messenger (no need to
uninstall first, just install overtop of Windows Messenger now), but I would recommend
keeping the same version that you have now.

For Windows Messenger 4.7:

For Windows Messenger 5:

Perfect! That did it! Thanks so much! What a relief to not have to
have ONE more window open!
