AIM connection problem - error message unknown error code 4 category 1

The problem connecting to AOL's instant messenger that gives the error
message: unknown error code 4... category 1 is due to Mcafee's
personal firewall being run and blocking AIM. To allow AIM to run,
you have to go into Mcafee's firewall settings and manually allow the
AIM application. In the allowed applications or whatever it is
called, point to the executable (aim.exe) file that is in C:\Program
Files\AIM.
