I've upgraded my motherboard and now have the following system:

* Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard
* 2600+ Athlon XP
* Radeon 9800 graphics card
* 1GB DDR400 RAM

When I access the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (dxdiag), I notice that "AGP
Texture Acceleration" is not available, and can't be enabled (button is
grey).DirectDraw and Direct3D are both enabled.

I've installed the following drivers:

* Radeon Catalyst 5.10 drivers (latest)
* nForce all in one drivers 2.64 (latest from Asus site).

The following SMARTGART options are set in the ATI utility:

* AGP speed: 8 x
* Fast write: On
* Current statue: On

The following graphics-related BIOS options are set:

* Graphics aperture size: 512MB
* AGP Frequency: Auto
* Video RAM Cachable: Disabled
* AGP 8X support: Enabled
* AGP Fast Write Capability: Enabled

What else do I need to do?

Cheers,

P.

Those are very conflicting readings. :-)

Do any Direct3D games work? What about OpenGL games?

Reinstall DirectX 9.0c.

.... and re-install the mobo drivers. Something wrong with those drivers is
usually the culprit. Try the unified NForce2 drivers direct from NVidia

Asus has not updated that driver page for years. I wonder why.
