Anyone have any ideas on this. Running DX9.0a on WinXP Pro with a 2100XP+
and a new (tonight) 9600Pro 128MB. Games all work great but got 3025 in
3dMark03 and was expecting more so started investigating.

Many thanks for any ideas, Shawk

PS - I did 'google' for this probl;em but only got results for Win95 and
Linux.

Apologies - just found a thread on this from the 4th of this month. Will
try updating DX to 9.0b. If anyone has any other ideas please shout.
Cheers.

I am assuming you have the display set to AGP in bios and not PCI?

Make sure you create a restore point before installing DX 9.0b, Shawk -
several issues have been reported around it. These are mostly to do with
PAL tuners, however, which, since you don't appear to have an AIW, shouldn't
be a problem for you. But create a restore point.

Andy,

AGP is set up correctly in bios thanks. Have upgraded drivers to 3.7, DX to
9.0b (with a restore point - thnx Patrick) and still have 'not available' in
dxdiag for AGP. I have a feeling AGP is actually working but not being
picked up by dxdiag. Have scores of 3072 for 3DMark03 and 9532 for
3DMark01SE - lower than I expected but no tweaking and higher than I would
expect if AGP wasnt actually working. Any thoughts?

Cheers, Shawk

OK - I know its not good netiquette to reply to yourself but for the benefit
of anyone that might be following this thread the solution was so simple I'm
about to go outside and kick myself.

I just upgraded the Via 4in1 Hyperion drivers and AGP is now available!

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Shawk
