Age Of Empires III - Causing Blue screen?

Hi, I recently purchased AoE3 and every time I start it up, it causes a blue
error screen. At first it thought it was because some of my drivers might be
out of date, however after updating them, I was still given a blue screen. I
don't get blue screens on any other game that I play, and in-fact, this is
the first time I've gotten the blue screen, ever. After asking some friends
they believed that the game itself might be bugged, so I uninstalled,
reinstalled, and tried again, just to get the same results. I downloaded the
game patches from the website, patched it up and tried again, blue screen.
I've checked the read-me file, but only found one thing that may fix the
problem, turning sound acceleration off, restarting the computer, and trying
again, however after doing this, it caused another blue screen. I'm out of
ideas about what could be wrong with it, and I'm not a real technical person
when it comes to computers.

I can provide a dxdiag along with the crash dump file and a sysdata file if
needed, however I'm not too sure where to upload them for them to be provided
for you to help me.

Note: I'm using windows XP, however I can't seem to navigate around this
site too well to find the forums like this for windows XP.
