Last night I did an update and installed xp sp2.

Unfortunatley, when I was prompted to restart, I did, but
the system would not boot all the way. It just kept
rebooting and rebooting and never finishing all the way.
The blue screen flashes with winsrv something in it.

I can get to the F8 to go into safe mode screen - but it
never goes into safe mode but continues to reboot!!

Please help with any ways other than system restore to
rectify!

Tap F8 again and this time choose "Last known good configuraqtion"
