Hello all,

I've recently installed some Windows updates. The last update before
that one was performed maybe 2 years ago, so there was a lot to be
downloaded and installed.

Problem: Boot of Windows is normal, *after* the (automatic) login
however startup has become veeery slow since then, it seems some
service(s) started take/s ~3 minutes to complete! The annoying thing
is, that unidentified piece of software runs *before* my network
setup, so after a reboot I must wait several minutes to get my
internet connection up and running.

Starting the Task Manager to find some process taking CPU time didn't
reveal anything, to me it seems something is looping for quite some
time before deciding to move on. Anyway, I can't even use the internet
in the meantime... just looking at the screen and waiting... no
internet... no email, no communication...

Does anyone know about this problem? It's really annoying. How do I
fix it? How can I diagnose?

TIA
Karsten
