I have just had my upgraded and all is working fine but I cant install
certain of my software programmes that used to install eg. Adobe Acrobat
Reader and essential software programme which I got from a magazine cover CD
will not now install ... things just seem to 'hang' for a while then stop.
Several programmes that i used to be able to install will not now install ???
yet others are OK ???? any help appreciated : Val

If you upgraded to XP then most older software will not run on it. If that
is the case try going to the vendor web site and look for XP drivers to
download. As far as Adobe I don't understand unless you are installing an
old CD that might not be XP. Go direct to Adbobe web site and download the
free XP software.

If your problem is not an upgrade to XP from non XP then I don't know what
the issue is about. Tell me what you upgraded if not to XP.
