After updating win 2k, it would run chkdsk during bootup

After donwloading the latest Windows updates for W2K the other night, 2 for
IE and 4 for Security updates.
Well, now every time that I boot the PC, from a regular shutdown, it wants
to run CheckDisk every time.

Please advise!

Check this article it should tell you how to stop it by setting the reg entry
to *. Why it's happening is a different story.
