After installing a number of critical and optional
updates on 2/12/04 such as: several security updates,
KB826939, KB828026, KB825119, KB828035, KB832483,
Q811114, KB832894, MovieMaker 2, WMP 9, Q327405,
KB831240, KB810217 and 817787 ... now I cannot burn a
CD. I get the message "D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect
function". I am using the procedure in Ed Bott's book on
the XP, Page 429, to burn CD's. Very frustrating and I
appreciate anyone who can help.

Linda, go to Control Panel>AdminTools>Services. Make sure that IMAPI
CD-Burning is started.

Or get DirectCD 5+ 0r 6 or INCD.

And disable XPs builtin burning.
