I have an nvidia GFORCE Ti 4200 AGP8 and when I have done
some of the critical updates for Windows, it goes wacko.
Case in point was this last critical update. So I went to
nvidia and got the new driver and lo and behold, next
time I went to the Windows update sight they had a new
driver for the video card. I dutifully downloaded the new
video driver from Microsoft update site, and WHAM,
screwed up video card once again! So I restored and went
back to nvidia and got the driver once again and wouldn't
ya know it, Microsoft said I needed the video driver once
again. Beware of when Microsoft says you have a new
driver I guess the point I'm making, better to go to the
mfg. website and get it.
Then you have to jump through hoops just to report this
problem to Microsoft!
