outlook was working fine, i was working on contact folder, and then it
closed with an error, and since then, when outlook starts imeediately dims
down and wont start ( closes down)

how can you fix ?

What was the error and what has been logged to the Event Viewer?
Does it still load in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
(note the space in the command)
