I reported a similar problem on this newsgroup (12/16/06) with Windows XP
after the latest Microsoft patch. Not only did the keyboard not work, there
was no video signal. After hours of uninstalling applications, removing
patches, using system restore, etc., I called Dell support and the tech said
that there was a problem with the December update and Microsoft is working
on a patch (to the patch) but could not give me anymore information or
references to confirm.
Apparently, this only affects USB keyboards.
