After SP2 upgrade, "Professional" disappears from Windows logo

I successfully installed Windows XP Professional on my PC. I then downloaded
and installed SP2, and that installation appeared to be OK as well. However,
when I boot my PC now, the word "Professional" is missing from the logo on
the first screen , which now just says "Microsoft Windows XP". (Before the
SP2 upgrade, the logo said "Microsoft Windows XP Professional".)

Can anybody who did the same thing on his PC (upgraded the Pro version of XP
to SP2) tell me if this is normal behaviour ?

On the other hand, the properties of "My computer" do correctly show the
system as "Microsoft Windows XP Professional, with SP2).

SP2 makes a cosmetic change to the boot screen as you noticed.
This is normal. The change reduces the testing footprint for the
various editions of Windows XP.
With a common boot screen, the test matrix does not require unique
testing of screens for all of the possible Windows XP editions.
