after sp2 no reboot

Hello oms
When i put at a new installation of win xp the sp2 the machine cant boot at
all!
i try to boot at safe mode no success!
when i disable the cache of the cpu at bios
the machine boot but it works very slow
any idea?

Hello Will
the machine is an Xpc from shuttle SB61G2 / VER 3 (CHIPSET 865G)
cpu is PRESCOT 3GHZ
HDD IS SATA 210 GB WD
RAM 2 X 256 MB /400 KINGSTON

Thanks Thomas. There is a know problem with this setup. At the moment
there isn't a fix, but it is being looked into by several people. You've
already disabled the cache, which is being advised, but as you have found
there is a big drop inperformance. I'll pass your details on.

How can I disable the cache. I have a gateway 710 series deskdop. I am in
the BIOS utility after hitting f2? thanks!
