I used the Windows Backup utility to back up my data by backing up my folder
in C:\Documents and Settings
I have reloaded Windows using the same user name and restored my data.
Unfortunately the all the permissions seem to have been lost. I have tried
to change the permissions by taking ownership and while it works on a per
folder basis it won't cascade down to sub folders. This really causes a
problem because I have a large number of sub folder. Basically I wont to
reset all permissions to the defaults.
Also after restoring my data all 'special' folders such as My Pictures have
lost their special icons and TweakUI can't seem to fix them.
I will be glad of all suggestions.
