Hi
I published my site on a fp ex 2002 server however once published I did a
recalculate hyperlinks and it all got messed up. In my FP client it looks
ths same however it doesn't work right for viewing in the browser. Internal
links are broken they don't point to the right places, graphics on pages are
not linked etc.... The strange part is that in FP everything works fine.

Please help me fix this
thanks
Fran

A few questions to help us clarify your question:

1. Was the first step in developing your website to
create a Front Page disk based web (ie, File | New Page
or web | Web --- might be a bit different steps depending
on your version of Front Page)? Many folks just start by
creating web pages (ie, File | New page or web | Page).
This is NOT correct.
2. Did you import (File | Import) all of your graphics &
other content into your disk based web PRIOR to creating
hyperlinks to the graphics & other content?

If yes to the above:

Specifically what kinds of hyperlinks are not functioning
properly? Are they the hyperlinks that link to other
pages, just the hyperlinks to graphics or both?

Do you have a URL someone could look at to better
troubleshoot your problem(s)?

for extra info this is a website that has always worked well for years on
the old hosting server. I am now trying to republish by overwriting all
however it doesn't seem to want to fix it self I was hoping to overwrite
navigation etc...
after I did the recalculate web all the page borders are not handled
correctly the includes pages or many theme graphics etc....
Even many hyperlinks at least the ones I checked are being directed to the
oddest folders.. however the links seem just fine in design page view in
Front page.
thanks

Open the online site and open / resave all your include and shared border pages (if used)
Use File preview in browser to check

Somehow your path to all the includes is
http://www.pavillonduparc.qc.ca/_includes/_borders/
instead of
http://www.pavillonduparc.qc.ca/_borders/

Do you have a copy of the previously functioning site
anywhere?

1. If so, start with that "clean" site.
2. Get it onto your PC.
3. Make sure it works properly.
4. When it comes time to publish to your host, first open
the site on the host using FP (so-called opening the site
live). Delete all of the content back to the root
directory (you can leave the folders in place). Note if
you have any discussion groups, counters or things of
that nature, be sure to not delete that in less you truly
want to start fressh.
5. File | Publish web from your PC to the host. I assume
you are publishing using the "http" method since you are
operating on a server with Front Page Extensions.

If you do not have a "clean" copy of the site, it looks
as though you are going to have to work through the
version you have one page at a time.

the strangest thing is that in Front page in page view and in preview pane
it looks as before just on the web it looks so bad and strange. so much for
WYSIWYG.
I do have a copy on my HD so best if I start over and see it just that it
will take hours because with the subsites and extranet it is 600 +pages and
hundreds of pdf's etc etc........
thanks for your help
