I have heard that there is an easy way to get around the
IDE driver issue when imaging 2000 and then applying that
image to anouther system board. I thought the solution
was to uninstall the IDE controller before syspreping and
imaging, but that does not seem to work. :-( If anyone
knows how to get around this blue sceen of death PLEASE
let me know ASAP.

Thanks in advance,
R

Do not uninstall IDE controller. Patch the template system before sysprep
according to MS KB Q271965
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;271965 and you
shouldn't have stop 0x7B.
You can clone only similar hardware, like standard HAL to standard one and
ACPI to ACPI.
