After just installing Windows XP Prof. from a clean hard
drive and I have run windows update to get all the
critical updates including SP1.XP Prof. Now when I use
IE6 SP1 some web page links display a red "X" in the box
instead of the link. The following URL is an example of
one of the pages I cannot see the correct links.
http://www.shs.d211.org/ForeignLang/foreignLang.html

There are other sites but the above is just an example.

On my Windows 2000 machine the links are fine, so I know
it is not a web page issue.
Is there a hotfix for this?

Hi Greg,

No hotfix, but there are some things to check:

Control Panel/Intenret Options/General tab, delete the Temporary Internet
Files, then go to the advanced tab and make sure "show pictures" is checked
under multimedia.
