Hi,

Does Outlook 2007 alter the file structure of an Outlook XP .pst file in
such a way as to prevent it being backwards compatible with Outlook XP again.

Anyone know?

Thanks.

No. It will retain its previous format. Only a PST file newly created in
Outlook 2003 and 2007 will not have backwards compatibility (unless you
expressly create it in the older format).
