Affecting Screen Saver

I have had an intermittent fault on my screen saver whereby sometimes it
works and sometimes it doesn't. I have now traced the cause to Outlook 2003.
If I start up my computer and do not open Outlook, into which all my emails
arrive, Screen saver and power shut down work alright, as appropriate. If I
open Outlook the screen saver does not kick in, if I close down Outlook
screen saver still does not kick in but if I reboot and don't open Outlook
then the screen saver kicks in. The only alterations I have made which
coincide with the problem is that I have changed my ISP and therefore my
email address & installed Kapersky Internet Security but since I have
installed that on another PC which is networked to this one and I have not
had any problems there I cannot see that they are the cause. Any suggestions?

When you close Outlook, does outlook.exe stop as well?
Does it behave the same in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

Disable/uninstall Kasperky's integration with Outlook and try again.
