Once more in English please!

I assume you are talking about Vista - which edition? And what are you
asking about the GDI?

More info please, I'm not sure what you are asking.

Vista Home Basic does not offer Aero Glass. Rendering is still done in the
GPU.

Home Basic will still suport GDI and support the same 3D functionality as
all of the rest of the versions. It just will not include, from Microsoft,
some of the features that use advanced graphics functionality like Aero.
That doesn't mean that other software, such as games, will not be able to
use 3D on Home Basic.

Dale

I don't know what your question means with those terms (I guess that's 3D
Card) but somewhere in this thread I thought you might want to Force Aero in
Windows Home and it has been and can be done:

Home basic doesn't default contain Aero Glass and it might be forced to
depending on your graphics card--it's been reported widely that it can. I
don't have Home Basic.

Features in Vista Editions:

Ensure that you have the following registry value set to :

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\Composition set to 1 (32-bit DWORD)

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\CompositionPolicy set to 2 (32-bit
DWORD)

2/ Restart DWM by opening a command prompt with administrative privileges :

- Type 'net stop uxsms'
- Then 'net start uxsms'

Good luck,

CH
