I had installed Morpheus, Limewire, and Kazaa, a long time ago. and maybe other free crap that have adware along the way. Running the scans find the stuff, but ofcourse I need to pay $30 to remove. I had Google taskbar running and that blocked Evveeeryone of them! Something happened and I had to disable 3rd party extentions just to get my IE to work. Now I get pop ups up the ass.

If any of you have had good success with some software to find the most and remove the most adware I would appreciate it. (my manual attempts failed-they still pop right back on scans)

Also, are the random Windows that ask if I would like to install something related to this? Adding more adware by adware. I am going nuts. I can't use my browser without getting ****ed with these parasites. Help!

Any suggestions for cleaning my dirty computer and keeping it clean would be appreciated.

I run two of them, what one misses, the other one will usually find. Both
are free, Ad-aware has two paid versions, but the basic runs just fine

Spybot 1.2 ( NOT Spyhunter !)
http://www.safer-networking.org/

Ad-aware 6.0 by LavaSoft
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Also to be on the safe side, its a good idea to have a firewall of some
kind. I have used Zone Alarm for years and it pretty much keeps all the junk
out of my PC, never have pop-ups or virus's. It is free also (Zone Alarm Pro
is paid version and has some extra's to it, but all versions will keep your
PC clean) Free Version Link below:

Hope this helps !

Ali,
Go to:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html
for [1] KazaaBegone and [2] CWShredder. Run them in that order. Read the
warning about KazaaBegone and your internet connection.

If additional cleaning is indicated, download, update and run Ad-aware and
Spybot S&D.

Also note the many security tips at that site.
