Adware in IE 6

I have adware in my copy of IE. After running a 3rd party
removal too (Ad-Aware) it is gone, only to re-appear
after a reboot, and occasionally after a few hours of
normal use. The adware has set itself as my homepage, and
I am unable to change it. In the address bar it comes up
as 'about:blank'. There are no malicious programs running
that you can see in task manager, or in msconfig startup.
Has anyone ahd this problem? Is it possible to re-install
IE?

Thanks, Adam

update ad-aware first and scan then remove " about:blank"
spywares etc.
and in ie tools,options,advanced,uncheck both'enable
install on demand',apply.
