How can I get rid of adware.gator?

I installed Divx Pro 5.1.1 adware and was "infected" by adware.gator.
Although GAIN - editor of Gator - says that uninstalling the contaminator
(in my case Divx Pro) will unistall adware.gator , the file "fsg-4104.exe"
remains on my HDD and is impossible to erase. Norton AV detects it but
doesn't offer a solution

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Steve ELlis

Try Spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=mirrors
But it will stop the codec from working.

Try terminating the process with the task scheduler first, or
deleting it in safe mode.

Thanks guys - deleting in safe mode did it!

Spybot and Adaware detect it but don't delete it!

Thanks again
Steve
