Hi,

I have a server which is a linux box (it used to be FreeBSD but they did
not support my SATA controller). I want to reduce the amount of time the
disks on the server are powered up but I have struggled to get Power
Management working with Linux.

The OS is all on an IDE with 3 SATA disks running off a 2xPCI SATA cards.

What are my option for reducing the heat and the power usage?

Iain
