advice: good deals / brand - 19 inch 3:4 LCD

I'm looking for a good deal on a 19 inch 3:4 or 4:5 LCD
monitor. I like the Samsung brand and there are deals
available now for the 932B model for under $200 - some are
'open box'. The 932B is a 4:5 aspect ratio. I have never
used an LCD. I've been told that it is not really feasible
to change the resolution with an LCD as with a CRT because
the image quality is significantly degraded. I don't know
that this will be a problem - 1280 x 1024 should generally
be fine.

Currently, I'm using an eMachines 17 inch CRT which is
really good. If it were a 19 inch, I probably would not be
looking for a replacement. However, I like the idea of
cutting the power usage to less than half with an LCD.

I'd like to know what experience people may have had with
the 932B, and also get some suggestions about what else may
be available at about the same cost.
