My old isp provider has their name imbedded in the frame around the message
box It says Brighthouse in big blue letters. My icons etc are hard to view
due to the color etc. I tried reinstalling the explorer and also tried to to
do a clear command in the run window command of rundll32.exe
iedkcs32.dll,clear . It will not clear the words out. I get an error saying
Error in iedkcs.dll missing entry:clear
How can I get rid of this please?

Hi,
I'm not sure that I understand where the customizing is, but try this
command from Start> Run> (type in or copy and paste

Rundll32 Iedkcs32.dll, BrandCleanInstallStubs

Click OK.
Restart Internet Explorer

If unsuccessful with that:

Q176713 - How to Restore the Animated Internet Explorer Logo:

There may be a program running at each startup to apply this customization.
Run MSCONFIG and look at the Startup tab to see if such an entry is there
and can be unchecked.

Also, the "Clear" parameter is case-sensitive.

Incorrect:
---------
rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,clear

Correct
--------
rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear
